Publishing- workshop with Santiago Roncagliolo

On 5th of March, the Scientific Students group “Latin America and Caribbean” and the Faculty of Modern Languages of the University of Warsaw intive to publishing workshop.
Santiago Roncagliolo is a Peruvian writer, playwright, screenwriter, translator, and journalist. He is one of the most acclaimed writers in contemporary Latin American literature. In 1977 his family was exiled to Mexico by the military government of Morales Bermúdez and since then he considered himself as “one more son of Latin America , perhaps a Peruvian from Latin America”. Back in his home country, he studied linguistics and literature at the Universidad Católica. He is the youngest winner of the Alfaguara Novel Prize with his Novel Red April in 2006, book that was translated to more than 20 languages.. He grew up in Mexico during his family’s political exile. Along with his literary activities Roncagliolo writes reports and political commentary for various South American newspapers and for the Spanish daily »El País«. He has also worked as a translator. He lives in Barcelona. On march is coming to Poland to present his book La noche de los alfileres in the Polish translation Noc Szpilek.
