Upcoming International Conference: “Confronting Holocaust Distortion in the Digital Era”
29 10 2025
We are pleased to announce the international conference “Confronting Holocaust Distortion in the Digital Era”, convening scholars, educators, and museum professionals to examine the growing impact of digital misinformation on Holocaust memory and understanding.
- November 18–20, 2025 at POLIN Museum
Over three days, the program will delve into how political rhetoric, emerging technologies and online platforms—especially social media and AI—are reshaping public understanding of the Holocaust. Sessions will address topics such as digital manipulation, educational responses, and the ethical dilemmas posed by artificial intelligence.
The keynote lecture by Dr. Lev Topor will focus on the role of the dark web and social media platforms in spreading false narratives. In addition to panels and lectures, the conference will feature two public events: one on the Holocaust discourse in Poland since the publication of Jan Gross’ Neighbors and another on Holocaust distortion as a challenge for journalists and media professionals.
This conference aims not only to analyze the problem but also to develop practical strategies to counter digital forms of Holocaust denial and distortion.
