Salos 2026 Summer School – Language change inside and out

The 23rd Salos Linguistics Summer School (Academia Grammaticorum Salensis Vigesima Tertia) will take place July 26 – August 1 2026 in Antalieptė, Lithuania.

This year’s overarching topic is language change and the programme includes the following courses:

• Diachronic construction grammar (Prof. Dr. Stefan Hartmann, HHU Düsseldorf)
• Contact-induced language change (Dr. Max Wahlström, University of Helsinki)
• Topics in inferential statistics (Prof. Dr. Alena Witzlack-Makarevich, University of Bremen)

In addition, the event will feature daily tutoring sessions as well as the possibility for participants to present their work on the conference day.

Participants of the summer school will receive 3 ECTS credits.

The participation fee of 320 Eur includes on-site accommodation, full board, and round trip from Vilnius to Antalieptė.
