Webinar on UW’s Research Data Repository

Join us for a webinar on how to use the instutional Research Data Repository of the University of Warsaw. We will also cover the subject of preparing research data for sharing. The training is intended for research staff and PhD students from the University of Warsaw.

Part 1: Preparing research data for sharing (120 mins)

  • Research data – definitions
  • Benefits of research data management
  • Data Management Plan (DMP)
  • Research data in Horizon Europe and NCN grants
  • Selecting and preparing data for sharing
  • Depositing a sample dataset in the repository

 

Break (15 minutes)

Part 2: Legal aspects of sharing research data (90 mins)

  • Research data as subject of legal regulations
  • Sharing research data from an intellectual property law perspective
  • Sharing research data from the perspective of personal data protection
  • Commercialisation of research outputs
  • Using open and free licences (Creative Commons and Open Data Commons)

 

The training will be led by Agnieszka Cybulska and Katarzyna Gaczyńska from the Open Science Platform (ICM UW). There will be time for questions and answers during the meeting.

This webinar is organised by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling at the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the Digital Competence Centre at the University of Warsaw.

The training is delivered as part of Action I.3.6 “Digital Humanities” of the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” programme.
