  • Issues with scholarship disbursement (e.g., non-receipt of funds),

Having health insurance is mandatory for all doctoral students (except for certain groups of foreigners).

Doctoral students who will not be entitled to a doctoral scholarship and have no other title to health insurance after 30 September, but have doctoral status, must re-register for health insurance at the university, as they will be automatically deregistered from insurance on 30 September.

To apply, submit the following documents to the BPM:

  • certificate from the doctoral school on the status of a doctoral student with an indication of the end date of this status
  • ZUS ZZA form
  • statement about not being subject to health insurance on any other account.

Two rounds of application and processing have been scheduled:

  • Round II for those admitted to the doctoral school in 2026/2027 – applications will be available from 3 – 19 August 2026.

The financial aid is a one-time benefit for doctoral students who have temporarily found themselves in a difficult life situation due to circumstances beyond their control.
