Call for Proposals: National Programme for the Development of the Humanities (NPRH)

The Polish Ministry of Science has announced a call for proposals under the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities (NPRH) — one of the key funding schemes supporting humanities research in Poland.

🗓️ Application deadline:
July 28, 2025, by 4:00 PM (CEST)

🔎 Who can apply?

  • Academic units (e.g., faculties, institutes at the University of Warsaw),
  • Research teams that may include doctoral students,
  • Principal investigators must hold a doctoral degree; however, doctoral students can participate as team members or co-investigators, particularly under modules such as “National Heritage” or “Universalia 2.2” focused on source-based research.

💡 Available NPRH Modules:

  1. National Heritage – critical editions, source inventories, editions of cultural texts.
  2. Universalia 2.2 – translations of foundational works in global humanities into Polish.
  3. Fundamentals – theoretical and basic research in the humanities.
  4. Development – projects supporting early-career researchers, including those with applied potential.
