HumanTech Summit 2025

We are pleased to announce that registration for active participation in the 4-th edition of the HumanTech Summit is now open!
We warmly invite scientists, researchers, and practitioners from the fields of technology and humanities to join this international conference organized by the HumanTech Center at SWPS University. This event brings together scholars, innovators, and experts from around the globe to explore technology from a human-centered perspective.
Key Dates for HumanTech Summit 2025:
- Conference date: November 20-22, 2025
- Call for Papers Deadline: July 13, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: July 31, 2025
- Full Conference Program Announcement: August 31, 2025
- Speaker Registration Deadline: August 31, 2025
Location: SWPS University in Warsaw, Poland (online access available for listeners only).
Submissions are accepted in English. Abstracts (200–300 words) and poster proposals should be submitted via the form available on our website.
The entire conference is also held in English.
Submitted applications will be assessed by the Scientific Committee composed of:

- Aleksandra Przegalińska (Harvard University/ALK)
- Piotr Winkielman (University of California, San Diego, USA)
- Maria Ganzha (Politechnika Warszawska)
- Agnieszka Wykowska (Italian Institute of Technology, Genua, Italy)

The conference topics focus on the social and psychological aspects of technology.
Main Topics of the Conference (not limited to):
- Artificial intelligence in the workplace – impacts on employment policies and labor markets
- Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including AI, for sustainable development
- Applications of AI and virtual reality (VR) in education, business, and health promotion
- New technologies for democracy
- Generative AI
- Social robotics
The conference will feature a startup evening, hackathon, exhibition space, pre-conference workshops, and poster sessions.
The mission of HumanTech Summit is to connect people with diverse experiences and approaches in technology—scientists and practitioners, technical and social experts—both from Poland and abroad.
In past editions, we have hosted distinguished scholars such as:
S. Shyam Sundar, PhD (Penn State University), Matt Motyl, (University of Southern California), Katherine Stapleton (Oxford University), Andrew Schwartz, (Stony Brook University), Arvid Kappas, (Constructor University), Selma Sabanovic, (Indiana University), Youyou Wu (University College London), Tara Behrend, (Purdue University) and many others.
As in previous editions, our Keynote Speakers will be renowned world scientists and researchers. Currently, we have confirmed the participation of Prof. Dr. Emily Cross (ETH Zurich, Switzerland) and Prof. Andrew K. Przybylski (University of Oxford, UK).
