Mid-term evaluation
Detailed rules for conducting the assessment are described in the SDNH Regulations (LINK) in paragraphs 25-30.
The evaluation will be carried out in October and November 2022 by the Committees appointed for each of the disciplines separately (for the discipline of literary studies – two Committees).
The evaluation committee carries out the assessment on the basis of the submitted documents (see below) and interviews with the doctoral student (par. 27 ust. 1).
NOTE: Interviews will be conducted in October and November. The schedule of interviews (and their mode) will be determined individually by the committees, separate for each discipline.

FAQ
To which committee's evaluation will I be assigned?
The doctoral student undergoes evaluation in the discipline in which they are preparing their doctoral dissertation (as indicated in the Individual Research Plan). In the case of more than one committee being appointed in the discipline, the assignment is determined by the specializations of the committee members.
Can an artistic work (theater project, installation, translation, literary text, etc.) indirectly related to the doctoral thesis topic be included in the progress report of the Individual Research Plan (e.g. in article 16)?
Projects indirectly related to the topic of the dissertation can be indicated, for example, in article 16.
From which exact month will I receive the increased scholarship?
The increased scholarship will be granted from October 2024. The scholarship will be paid out after the mid-term evaluation process is completed (including receiving the full documentation from the committee), at the earliest in December 2024.
I have two supervisors - a main supervisor and a assistant/additional one. Do I fill out two collaboration questionnaires? Or does each supervisor fill out the questionnaire and provide their opinion separately?
In the case of appointing assistant and additional supervisors, separate collaboration questionnaires are required from both the doctoral students and the supervisors. The same principle applies to the opinion on the implementation of the Individual Research Plan. Each supervisor fills it out separately.
Do I need to prepare a presentation for the meeting with the committee?
The committee may, but is not obligated to, ask doctoral students to prepare a brief presentation. If necessary, the committee notifies the doctoral students in advance.
Do the committee meetings take place in person? What if I won't be in Warsaw at the designated time?
The committee fix a date and the format of the meetings with doctoral students. They can take place either remotely or in person. In the case of an inconvenient schedule, it is possible to individually arrange the format and date of the meeting with the committee.
